The underfeeding in consequence of the esophagus stricture reduced the cellular immune functions and increased the operative risk. The comparison of the feeding and immune parameters of patients with benign and malign strictures of the esophagus showed that the poor immune reactivity is caused by the underfeeding first of all and not by the immune depression due the tumor. | lld:pubmed |
