pubmed-article:17895187pubmed:abstractTextStroke in patients with cancer is second only to metastasis as a cause of focal neurological deficit. Stroke in this setting is usually linked to mucinous tumors or hematologic malignancies. We describe 2 patients with cervical cancer who developed disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)-mediated cerebral infarctions. The protean manifestations of DIC in cancer patients with stroke are emphasized.lld:pubmed
