Although cost-effective treatments are available, the disease is often asymptomatic until late in its course. "Medex Test," is the noninvasive detection of liver abnormalities by the measurement of changes in electrical impedance of dermal zones. This method is based on neuroreflexology, a branch of complementary medicine.
