pubmed-article:16251094pubmed:abstractTextWe report a case of a 32-year-old Danish woman with ocular complications of (IgM-verified) dengue fever. After having returned from a trip to Thailand, she became ill with fever and symptoms suggestive of dengue. On the tenth day, when the fever had subsided, she suddenly experienced visual disturbances and was admitted to hospital. Ophthalmologic examination revealed retinal oedema, probably immunologically mediated. Months later, her visual symptoms had still not completely disappeared. Ocular complications of dengue are rarely reported, but in the Third World they are probably common.lld:pubmed
