pubmed-article:1283892pubmed:abstractTextElectroencephalograms were recorded of 135 children with TOF. They were normal in 51%, slightly disturbed in one-third, and severe disorders were seen in 16% of patients. Although not statistically significant, cyanotic spells tend to be associated with more severe impairment of the bioelectrical brain function. As far as patients develop additional neurological complications, these result in severe electro-encephalographic changes. Thus, electroencephalographic findings suggest early corrective surgery.lld:pubmed
