Abstract

Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] is an atherothrombotic plasma lipoprotein with unknown function. Little is known about the catabolism of this lipoprotein, in particular the steps related to apolipoprotein(a) [apo(a)] fragmentation and excretion by the kidney.
