pubmed-article:8198441 | pubmed:abstractText | A field isolate of Sendai virus, the Hamamatsu strain, was far more virulent in mice than the prototype Z strain. The Hamamatsu strain replicated more efficiently in the mouse lung than the Z strain, causing deteriorating lung lesions. Nucleotide sequence analysis of the HN, F and M genes revealed that the Hamamatsu strain was divergent from the prototype Z, Harris and Fushimi strains. | lld:pubmed |
