pubmed-article:7949645 | pubmed:abstractText | Low-dose methotrexate therapy has been used to treat a variety of chronic inflammatory diseases; a few studies have discussed the efficacy of this therapy for sarcoidosis. We present a patient with symptomatic sarcoidosis who was successfully treated with low-dose methotrexate after being refractory to steroids. This patient showed significant clinical improvement without development of any severe side effects. These findings suggest that low-dose methotrexate therapy may be a useful alternative treatment for sarcoidosis. | lld:pubmed |
