pubmed-article:7854258 | pubmed:abstractText | Sympathetic pathways can be assessed by using different electrophysiological tests. Sympathetic skin responses (SSR) are elicited with peripheral electrical stimulation of the median nerve. SSR are recorded from the skin of the hand and foot and from the genital skin. SSR were always obtained from normal volunteers with a latency of 1,685 ms. Absence of SSP recorded on the perineum is often the first sign observed in neurogenic perineal disorders. | lld:pubmed |
