In 27 patients, the abscess occurred postoperatively, after various abdominal operations, most frequently after gall bladder and gastric surgery. The value of combined lung-liver scintigraphy is stressed, as is promptly established and adequate drainage, using a selective surgical approach. There were 4 deaths in the series. | lld:pubmed |
