pubmed-article:6654663pubmed:abstractTextMaffucci's syndrome is a rare condition which is not hereditary. It is manifested by multiple chondromata associated with subcutaneous angiomata. Up to now only 109 cases have been reported in the literature. Malignant degeneration is reported in about 15% of cases. The authors present 3 more cases, in one of which sarcomatous degeneration occurred in one of the chondromata.lld:pubmed
