pubmed-article:6524779 | pubmed:abstractText | Study of gastric chemistry in patients with cardiohiatal anomalies is an efficient test for distinguishing those cases that can evolution with complications and thus require surgical intervention. From a total of 720 patients affected with this pathology and observed between 1976 and 1982, a group of 164 were submitted to this study, 72 resulted with gastric acid rates higher than normal. 55% of these patients were operated.
