The smallest plasmid that is able to replicate in Agrobacterium tumefaciens contains the ampicillin-resistance determinant from Tn1, coupled to a piece of DNA that is homologous to HpaI fragment number 11 of the octopine Ti plasmid pTi-Ach 5.
