Immuno-reactive parathormone (IPTH) in the tumour being high, the hypercalcaemia could thus be attributed to secretion by the tumour of a substance with parathormone activity. The rarity of bladder tumours at the origin of paraneoplastic hypercalcaemia is recalled.
