pubmed-article:3867634 | pubmed:abstractText | A modified technique for the transplantation of teeth from one region of the mouth to another and for the transalveolar transplantation of impacted teeth to more favourable positions is presented. The surgical method is such that there is minimal damage to the tooth. To achieve this a substantial amount of bone may need to be removed. The fixation method is based on an orthodontic appliance and has the character of stabilization more than firm fixation. In this way it is possible to transplant teeth, even to difficult positions in adults, with very good results. | lld:pubmed |
