These included skin flaps, osteocutaneous flaps, and flaps of omentum and jejunum. These flaps were used for a variety of conditions ranging from life-threatening bleeding from a tumor to facial contouring in congenital deformities. In selected patients a microvascular free flap has significant advantages over multi-staged conventional flaps. | lld:pubmed |
