pubmed-article:2962226pubmed:abstractTextThree patients with arteriovenous shunts placed for hemodialysis had massive swelling of one of the upper extremities. Venograms showed marked stenoses of the ipsilateral brachiocephalic or subclavian veins. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was used to correct the stenoses and resulted in dramatic clinical improvement.lld:pubmed
