pubmed-article:2463131pubmed:abstractTextA 58-year-old diabetic man suffered two episodes of hypoglycemia accompanied by isolated aphasia. Prompt resolution of the language disorder followed treatment with 50% glucose IV. The day following the first event the EEG demonstrated bitemporal delta activity, more prominent over the left hemisphere. EEG repeated two weeks after the second event showed residual left temporal slowing. The differential diagnosis between hypoglycemia and transient ischemic attacks in diabetic patients presenting with transient focal neurological deficit is emphasized.lld:pubmed
