pubmed-article:2079028 | pubmed:abstractText | Seven strains of mycoplasma have been characterized by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in combination with immunoblotting. The two-dimensional patterns of the strains were compared and similarities and differences are discussed. Hyperimmune rabbit antisera were used in the immunoblotting experiment to study the immunological cross-reactivity between the species. Sera from goats, naturally and experimentally infected with mycoplasma, were also used in the immunoblotting experiment to study the immune responses of the infected animals. | lld:pubmed |
