pubmed-article:19839401pubmed:abstractTextPhrenic nerve palsy generally is a jatrogenic damage of invasive neck and/or chest procedures in the pediatric age, but it does not represent a common complication of pleural empyema. One case of transient monolateral diaphragmatic paralysis following a decorticated pleural empyema is here reported.
