pubmed-article:18503386 | pubmed:abstractText | Recurrent fistula after the repair of esophageal atresia with a tracheoesophageal fistula is a difficult problem that requires a reoperation. Each subsequent operation poses greater risk and morbidity. Therefore, in this paper we describe a case in which a fistula recurred after the initial esophageal aresia repair, then recurred again after a thoracotomy to repair the recurrence. This recurrence was successfully treated with endobronchial obliteration of the fistula tract with a biosynthetic mesh. | lld:pubmed |
