pubmed-article:1845144pubmed:abstractTextThere seems to be little doubt that insulin rapidly perturbs phospholipid metabolism, and this appears to increase DAG/PKC signaling in many target tissues. Considerable new evidence further suggests that DAG/PKC signaling plays an important role in insulin-stimulated glucose transport. Further studies are needed to test this hypothesis and examine its importance in states of clinical insulin resistance.lld:pubmed
