Opportunistic infections, tumors and vascular pathologies have variable appearances based on the degree of immunosuppression and patient compliance with opportunistic infection prophylaxis. Because of advances in retroviral treatments and wider use of anti-infectious prophylaxis, thoracic pathologies in AIDS patients are less frequent but must nonetheless be recognized, and diagnosis should be suggested in patients with unknown serologic status. | lld:pubmed |
