pubmed-article:1768403 | pubmed:abstractText | The effect of a single dose of hepatoprotective silibinin on blood alcohol elimination was investigated. Neither influence on the blood alcohol curve, nor detectable increase in the beta 60 value was found, although biochemical considerations suggest such an effect. Though silibinin has a protective effect on chronic alcohol liver injury, it does not influence acute alcohol elimination, and is therefore not suitable for use as a "sobering-up" agent. | lld:pubmed |
