The clonogenic assay has significant shortcomings, making it unsuitable for routine clinical use. The ATP cell viability assay (ATP-CVA) has been shown to have a high tumor evaluability rate, technical simplicity, and reproducibility in chemosensitivity testing.lld:pubmed
