Recent studies have focused on neural plasticity at the cellular and molecular levels in the etiology and treatment of stress-related disorders; however, there are no reports concerning modulation of synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus underlying therapeutic effects of antidepressants and/or anxiolytics.
