Advances in the understanding of the neuroanatomy of circadian rhythms, the molecular biology of the core clock mechanism, mechanisms of light entrainment of the circadian clock, clock synchronization among multiple tissues, and recent work on the relationship of the mouse circadian clock and cancer are discussed.
