pubmed-article:1482360 | pubmed:abstractText | A variant of annexin 3 (AX3) of apparent mass 36 kD has been detected in human monocytes using a specific immune serum directed against the original 33-kD form of AX3 purified from human placenta. This protein is not a phosphorylated or a glycosylated form of the 33-kD AX3 and its expression increased along monocytic differentiation whereas only the 33-kD AX3 accumulated in neutrophils. This suggests that these two forms of AX3 may play specific roles in these phagocytic cells. | lld:pubmed |
