pubmed-article:1252999pubmed:abstractTextA study of several one-carbon-utilizing organisms was conducted to determine the distribution of the recently found isocitrate-lyase-positive serine pathway of C1 assimilation. The results showed that this pathway is restricted to soil-isolated, non-pigmented Pseudomonas, initially isolated in methylamine enrichments, and to certain species of Hyphomicrobium. It was not detected in any organisms possessing a pink pigment.lld:pubmed
