pubmed-article:11594212 | pubmed:abstractText | Radical cystectomy is the current standard therapy for muscle invasive or locally advanced transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. Organ-preserving monotherapeutic alternatives (e.g. transurethral resection, radiotherapy) do not lead to similar cure rates. In selected cases, a trimodal approach using transurethral resection and combined radio- and chemotherapy can be as efficient as cystectomy. | lld:pubmed |
