We selected and analyzed 10 articles identified through Medline, for the purpose of studying such discussions. Three explanatory models were identified by qualitative analysis: biological, psychosocial and discriminatory. Although the articles focused on sex differences in revascularization, the discussions in the articles on this issue were sparse. We demonstrate how a gender perspective can generate new questions and theories and contribute to a better prognosis for women and men with heart disease. | lld:pubmed |
