Although the most common organ involved in the etiology of secondary hypertension is the kidney, disorders of the adrenal gland also play a major role. This review focuses on recent findings and controversies about the adrenal medulla and, where appropriate, on the role of the adrenal medulla in hypertension.lld:pubmed
