pubmed-article:10738020 | pubmed:abstractText | A 14-year-old Korean boy was admitted with cough, hemoptysis, and fever. A chest X-ray showed a solitary pulmonary mass and pneumonitis. Bronchial biopsy by fiberoptic bronchoscopy revealed a poorly differentiated small cell carcinoma. All of the staging information indicated that the patient had limited disease. During the 7 months following diagnosis, he received adjuvant chemotherapy in conjunction with radiotherapy. The size of the lesion was reduced by almost 50%. Small cell bronchogenic carcinoma has not been reported previously in childhood. | lld:pubmed |
