Pyrrolysyl-tRNA synthetase

In organisms such as Methanosarcina barkeri that incorporate the modified amino acid pyrrolysine (Pyl) into certain methylamine methyltransferases, an unusual tRNA(Pyl), with a CUA anticodon, can be charged directly with pyrrolysine by this class II aminoacyl--tRNA ligase.
