Penis carcinoma

NCI: A rare cancer that forms in the penis (an external male reproductive organ). Most penile cancers are squamous cell carcinomas (cancer that begins in flat cells lining the penis).,NCI: Tumors of the penis make up approximately 1% to 1.5% of cancers in the male population in the United States and Europe. Risk factors include: phimosis (narrowing of the foreskin or prepuce) and Human Papillomaviruses. The majority of penile cancers are squamous cell carcinomas. The most frequent clinical presentation is an irregular mass in the glans of the penis.Treatment includes: surgical management, radiation therapy (external beam and brachytherapy).
