MSH: The flexible rope-like structure that connects a developing FETUS to the PLACENTA in mammals. The cord contains blood vessels which carry oxygen and nutrients from the mother to the fetus and waste products away from the fetus.,CSP: flexible structure giving passage to the umbilical arteries and vein which connects the embryo or fetus to the placenta.,NCI: Extraembryonic structure that connects the fetus to the placenta. It contains two arteries and one vein.
