SPN: A rubber dam and accessories is a device composed of a thin sheet of latex with a hole in the center intended to isolate a tooth from fluids in the mouth duing dental procedures, such as filling a cavity preparation. The device is stretched around a tooth by inserting the tooth through the hole in the center. The device includes the rubber dam, rubber dam clamp, rubber dam frame, and forceps for a rubber dam clamp.,UMD: Forceps with pronged jaws used to place rubber dam clamps in position by engaging the jaws of rubber dam clamps so that they may be separated to pass over the widest buccolingual contour of a tooth. They are used in oral surgery, dentistry, and orthodontics.
