UMD: Frames used to hold a basin at an elevated height or to transport basins throughout the hospital. They are typically constructed of metal and are on casters for mobility. Some basin stands are designed specifically for use in magnetic resonance imaging [MRI] environments, i.e., MRI-compatible basin stands, and are made from nonmagnetic materials so that they can be safely used in an MRI suite.
