Ovarian adenocarcinoma was diagnosed in five turkey hens. The lesions were localised, multilobulated masses associated with the ovary. No metastatic neoplasms were found. Their microscopic features were somewhat variable, and included solid, acinar, and scirrhous architectures. Groups of epithelial cells which contained eosinophilic cytoplasmic granules were present in the neoplastic masses. The granules were composed of glycoprotein. The staining characteristics of the granules were identical to those of the secretion in neoplastic acini, but differed from those of normal follicular fluid.
