Laparoscopic plasty of inguinal hernia is an operation performed for the first time in this country. The results of ten operated hernias in 8 patients are analyzed. The operative intervention consists in the application of a special polypropylene sheet over the direct and indirect opening of the inguinal canal, attached with a clasping instrument. The peritoneum is dissected free in advance, and thereafter used for covering the sheet. No complications are observed.
