pubmed-article:21279553 | pubmed:abstractText | Transcription plays a central role in the regulation of gene expression during neoplastic transformation in different tissues. Using this nuclear process as a common topic in this special issue of the Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer we have covered with five review articles key aspects of gene transcription and its impact in pancreatic carcinogenesis.
