A new study in Nature has identified a small molecule inhibitor for the oncogenic Wnt/beta-catenin pathway that is responsible for many human cancers. This inhibitor targets an unsuspected cellular enzyme, Tankyrase, which controls the destruction of a beta-catenin destructor.
