This paper analyzes the importance of clinical data gathered in writing the case history of a pediatric patient in the dentist's office, inasmuch as this information determines diagnosis and appropriate treatment. The authors suggest that in eliciting this information, no technical terms be used, so that the person providing the pertinent data may do so in a fully comprehensive manner.
