The family movement is one of the most important movements in the mental health field in recent decades. In light of this trend, a psychoeducational focused group for schizophrenics and their families to learn management of schizophrenic illness is described. Antipsychotic medication for patients is assured by depot administration by the facilitator in a clinic immediately after the group sessions. This psychoeducational approach can serve as a prototype for others.
