This prospective observational study analyses cardiovascular changes in adult patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) during transition from pressure-controlled ventilation to high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), using transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) and invasive haemodynamic monitoring.
